Help, holster problem
I have a friend that is downtown in the sand box. He carries a Berretta 92 with a "brigadier" slide. It is apparently thicker than the standard slide and will not fit in a civilian holster. He is currently carrying SAS style and it's freaking him out.
Don Hume used to carry one, but is now discontinued. At this point he would take anything Kydex, IWB, whatever.
Any suggestions of how to secure a holster that is civilian carry style and fits a brigadier slide? I'd love to help him out and send him one.
Thanks

Blade-Tech makes IWB and OWB for the Brig. models.
I'll look up a few others.

I have two holsters that fit my Brigadier. A Combat Master from Galco which is OWB and a CTAC from Comp-Tac, Kydex IWB.

LOL, those were the next two sites I was going to check.
A holster from any one of the 3 companies would make me happy.
As for what style holster, that all depends on what line of work your friend is in.
I'd probably opt for OWB as it's hot over there and anything IWB might be a bit uncomfortable for a long period of time.

Thank you for your help.
I ordered him a Galco Royal Guard IWB and a Galco Matrix OWB for a 92 brigadier. I have no idea what line of work my friend is in, but I'll send him your regards.

Good job, I think you got him the best of both worlds as far as no wait times are concerned.

I have received the holsters and now will send them over to him. Any suggestions of which is the best and fastest way to send them to his APO address?
Thanks, Dan

+1 on the flat rate priority boxes. I sent my little brother tons of stuff through those while he was in Afghanistan.

I feel dumb for asking this, but I'm heading to the sandbox in Jan. and I know that I'm taking a M-9 and a M-16 but I've never heard about a "Brigadier slide." What is the difference, and if I'm taking a M-9 what should I look for?
Thanks guys.
