    Card Charged

I checked my CC today and yesterday there was a charge from Kevin. That means the leather has been cut and the holster should be done soon. If I'm not mistaken it's usually a couple of weeks from the charge until shipping which is about when I expected it to arrive. The wait is almost over and the wait is harder everyday.

Kevin's the MAN, that's who he is! He's the proprietor of K&D Holsters, a very popular maker of custom gunleather and a sponsor of this forum. Here's a link to his site:

If you're looking for custom leather, particularly exotic skins, he makes great stuff.

(Okay, Kevin that was a second good plug. Can you move my order up a few spaces?)

I found out about Kevin on this site. I ordered one for my Kahr P9 and called a few days later and talked to Kevin directly about a holster for a custom carry commander 45 being made for me by Bill Laughridge at C&S. The holster will be ready way before my pistol is. He was extremely helpful and I know his work is top notch. Now the wait begins!

K&D really does some amazingly creative and practical leather work.
Functional, beautiful, tasteful and flawless in execution.

I ordered and should soon have in my hands a black Eagle Defender with the Eagle embossed. The throat of the holster is also black but with shark added. As to when I placed the order I don't know th exact date but I believe it was around the middle to end of August. I am not not sure how long after the charge until it is shipped but I believe it is around 2 weeks. Yes, when I receive I will post some shots of the holster.

Ahh yes - the Eagle Defender

Mine has now done near 3 years duty with my SIG 226 .. still a great rig - just love it.

The pic was when it was new but it is still in great shape considering 16/7 useage.
