    P12-45

I just picked up a used P12-45 in Stainless. It is 5 years old, but according to the previous owner it only has 250 rounds through it. I does look like new!!!

If it shoots every time and does it well, it will probably become a carry gun.

The questions are: What are you Para Owner's shooting in them and what type of holster's work well for Concealed Carry?? I'm using 230 grain Golden Sabre's in my full size 1911 and carry it in a Brommeland Max Con V.

    Thanks for any advice...

If you have a Max Con V and you like it, see if you can get one for the Para. Great IWB holster.

Cat - hope yours functions reliably - mine did not when I got it (used). I had to do a ''Wolffizing'' to mag springs. Teddy Jacobson is a mine of info on these - he knows the tricks to get em to perform.

Mine now is near good for function but because I had issues before it remains off the carry list. I do enjoy shooting it and the feel is great and the trigger also is excellent. Whole gun handles very well.

Be interested to know how yours holds up under fire.

    uncle mike's sidekick size 16

a holster I like for my p12-45 is "uncle mike's sidekick size 16" it's ok stock but i took out a little of the stiching so the barrel can stick just to the end of the holster and I love it i can pull the grip of the gun in my belt and it makes it a noshow most other holsters make it look like your stealing some thing that i have used, as another plus it's thin, waterproof from the out side, flexable and you can get it for 10 bucks on froogle.

Chris, I'm going to get together a mix of ammo and go to the range Tuesday (if it doesn't rain). Hopefully I'll find out that it works well with different ammo. My full size 1911 doesn't like the 185 grain ammo, so all I run in it is 230 grain. I'm still not sure if the shorter barrel would do better with the lighter stuff??? As long as whatever I use goes Bang!! That's the important thing..

Bumper, The Para fits in my Max Con V that I have for my full size 1911. Gary will freak out if he reads this.... After I test the gun and see if I like it, I'll give Gary a call and see about getting one made for the Para. I'm not sure how far behind he is with the move and all....

I have a para warthog and so far has functioned flawlessly.I shoot remington 230 gr fmj for range work and federal hydrashoks for carry.I carry owb in a triple k belt slide, fits the gun perfectly.tried a cheap uncle mikes iwb but didn't care for it so I just order an iwb from high noon holsters called the split decision, have not got it yet but hopefully soon.

    Realleycat,

I have a Stainless Carry 12 LDA, same gun with double action trigger, that has been my primary carry for a couple of years. It is very accurate and reliable. Goes bang every time I pull that trigger and has never had a FTE or FTF.

    on the ammo side

it will shoot about any thing hallow point or round nose, the worst ammo i found for it is wolf 45 acp 185 and 230 fmj. do not use this ammo!!!! it is all wrong for the gun!!! if you want to make your para better with all types of ammo is. take it apart and get your dremel tool out and polish the feed ramp on the barrel. it will help it feed out standing
