    Help with Milt Sparks VMII!

For those who own the VMII, I've got a question. I'm 5'9" 164lbs and can't seem to find the "sweet spot" for the VMII. I'm carrying a G23 and the holster is left handed. I where my CTAC at 9 o'clock and it conceals great. The VM2 at 9 oclocks sticks way out. If i go way behind the hip like in the 7 oclock position it is better(still not acceptable) but not good when bending over. So what gives? Am I using it wrong or is it just not the holster for me? BTW, i do have the kydex clips too of which i have not tried yet. Thanks for any help! Just want to be sure before it goes up for sale

Its meant to be worn right after the point of the hip, 8:30 for lefties.

Sticks out like a sore thumb right there. Not the gun butt but the rear sight end of the slide sticks out horribly. CTAC and dakota do alot better at 9, 8:30, 8 oclock

With a Sig 229, the VM2 sits best for me where my love handle sits perfectly in the curve of the backstrap :D

Squat, do not bend over. I have a pair of cargos that are a lower rise than my Levi's. If I bend over in them it looks like a railroad crossing arm sticking out.

What kind of belt are you wearing with the VMII? Mine did the same thing and then I purchased a Milt Sparks belt and that brought everything in nice and tight and made it very comfortable too.

I'm right handed and carry at around 3:30, 8:30 for you. This is a starting point, so shift until you find the magic place. I havn't found a better holster.

I had the same exact problem. After wearing the vmII for 3 weeks it is now breaking in and conforming to me and is getting better every day. I have it right at 3:15-3:30ish. You just have to give it some time I think. It is very stiff when you first get it.

Same with any good leather product, shoes, baseball glove; it has to melt to your anatomy.

Eventually, the VM2 has to be at least as comfortable as the CTAC, but not quite as so as the Crossbreed.

Comfort is not the issue. The way it conceals is. I don't see any amount of conforming helping enough at this point.

Bacchus: I'm almost exactly your size and am left handed. Could it be a vertical issue? This pic shows my MS Watch Six on a Beltman belt worn at 8:30 horizontally, around my waist rather that my hip. Sorry It's a little out of focus!
