5.11 Tactical Holster Shirt

I know this has been discussed here many times.
This is really not to open a discussion but to post more info on an old topic.

I have been extremely happy with my 5.11 holster shirt. I haven't needed it very often but it has performed flawlessly for me when I have.

I have carried my S&W M&P40c with it to this point. On a whim I decide to carry my Llama 1911 commander size in it. I can only say that I am completely blown away! I thought the 40c was a perfect fit, but I was wrong. This shirt was made for a 1911 commander.

The Llama is slightly longer, slightly taller, slightly thinner and much heavier. It fits the holster pocket perfectly and the shirt distributes the weight very well. The extra width of the M&P has always made me feel like it was printing horribly even though it was not. The 1911 feels like its not even there.

I carried my P229/.40 in it....I was comfortable, but was afraid of stretching out the material. I think I'll do it again if in a pinch and really think I need my .40, but for the most part, I'll use it to carry my MK9.

How's the sizing on these shirts? I couldn't find anything on the website or in the catalog on sizing. I'd like to get a two or three.

Thanks.

Yeah, I was going to ask about sizing too... if you normally wear an XL shirt, do you get the same size?

It sounds like these run on the large side. I normally wear a L-XL depending on the shirt (L for Polos, XL for most T-shirts) and I'm no where close to a 48S. I'm a 40S jacket, 34" waist, 5'9".

Sizing

I wear a 40-42 typically. The medium Holster shirt fits me perfectly but doesn't support the weight of the gun. The small shirt fits very snug and supports the pistol perfectly.

The store that sells them here had a 50% sale the day I was away up North, arrrrrgh!! I like the 511 clothing although a bit pricey.
