    Question VM-2, Horse or Cow?

I'm about ready to place my order and get in line for a Milt Sparks VM-2 and I am debating between the horse hide and cow hide.

Does anyone have any experience with the VM-2 in both?

    Thumbs up Horse Of Course

I have no experience with the holster you named. I have much experience with cow and horse hide holsters. Anytime you can get a holster in horse hide,go for it. Much stiffer, tougher, wears better, repels water and sweat, and will clean up and polish much easier than cow hide.

Having had both, I prefer the horsehide. Not a vast difference, but for the reasons above.

    Shark Skin.

If you are going for a high class holster, go whole hog.

I have a Sparks horsehide holster...much more durable than cow hide and looks just as good. As mentioned above, sharkskin is pretty nice too.

The Milt Sparks VersaMax-II Cowhide holster IS Horsehide on the side against your body!

Just ordered up a VM-2. Matthew (I think it was) told me that all their holsters are horse on the back.

    Now the clock begins ticking...

I have a VM-2 in both horse and cow. I would take either in a heartbeat! The horse seems a little tougher - but both seems to be able to last a lifetime!!

I was told 20-26 weeks when I ordered yesterday. My last one took 23 weeks exactly.

Kevin - STOP IT. You are killing me. I just posted in the "20-26 weeks" thread about how beautiful that holster is and now you come over here and post more.

Seriously, thanks for the pix. It gives me a good idea of what to expect.

Tangle - I think I ordered the same day as BillR and they said 20-26 weeks.
