Post AKER Holsters ~ Do U Carry In One?

Not too much written on our forum about the Aker Leather line.
They do have a pretty good selection of leather holsters.
Aker Holsters are reasonably/inexpensively priced & look "OK" good though (in my opinion) not as good looking as true custom.
I think that on some models the retention strap in addition to the obvious tight boning/molding AND the adjustable retention tension screw would be maybe a bit Too Much Retention.
I've never owned an Aker Holster so somebody else will need to chime in on Aker....that actually carries in one. I also don't know how high quality the actual leather is...which is as important as how any holster looks and is constructed.
I have a few pistolas that I honestly do not carry too often & might want to slightly upgrade their holsters without moving all the way up to a true custom.

I've never owned one. Galls carries them at a pretty good price, and I've been tempted to try them, but I've never seen much mentioned about them on the forums.

    Aker

    Their holsters seem decent.
They have been around for awhile & I guess they wouldn't survive in the holster business too very long if their holsters were junk. Well, I take that back...Uncle Mike's has been around for a long time.

When I purchased my K40 from a local pawn shop, it came with a very nice, black leather Aker paddle holster. It seems to be really high quality and has a stout thumb snap, but is really easy to draw from. I like the tension screw - I can adjust it to fit the tightness I want. I would use it out at the range, but I never used it for CC because I use my belly band for that. Mrshonts has the K40 and all its accessories now.

I've had one for 4 years and use it regularly. It has been an excellent and very comfortable holster. The Aker flatsider (open top) is the issue holster for former INS (now ICE) special agents with their H&KUSPc.40LEM. I never hear any complaints from them.

I have a Flatsider XR12 for my SA XD-40 and I like it. I had a similar Galco but this Aker is much nicer.

Thumbs up Super Trucker ~ Thanks!

    That's good to know.
That Aker is nicer than Galco.
It's hard to tell just looking at web photos.

I like the look and price point of their Flatsider.
