While at our local flee market I found a Coronado Leather Co. vest the kind that has hidden gun pockets on the in side it is new or nearly new and only cost me $20. have any of you members had experiance with this kind of vest carry?
Not sure about your area though your are out cowboy country way but here something like that just screams he's packin Heat ..
Course you got a heck of a steal and they are very nice looking
Boyyyy Bump...you're so right about the "he's packin heat" ... I know the touring bikers around here wear vests, and they don't get a second glance around here in NH....maybe that's a good thing Either way.. 20 bucks for a vest that starts at around 180.00 is a steal in my eyesOriginally Posted by Bud White

A couple years ago, I bought the Coronado Safari Vest for my brother for Christmas. He loves it. It's made very well, the pockets are durable, and even with larger, heavier guns, you can't see an imprint. For $20, you got a steal, because I paid much MUCH more for my brother's!
In TN, sometimes it's hard to figure out who's packing or not, since it's country music heavy and lots of guys wear vests, hats and boots.

Nice find. The stuff on their webpage looks great.

I feel the same way about fannypacks. Not sure about your area though your are out cowboy country way but here something like that just screams he's packin Heat ..
Dont get me wrong. I mean its your style, and noy mine that matters for YOU. If a vest is your thing, thats cool. A steal makes it even better.
That seems a steal alright!
To heck with this ''shouts carry'' deal - I couldn't care a ****!! My vest is mostly used when biking but hey - if (as mine is) you have total concealment - WTH!!!! Let folks guess - I really have no prob with all this. Same with fanny pack on rare occasion I use one.
I go to bank sometimes, not wearing fanny pack but carrying it cos that is where my check book lives - it always has (permanent home!) within, my Bersa 380 tho I hardly carry it - no probs tho - no one sees inside.
I am not phased by anyone guessing - knowing that unless I am searched no one but no one will know I am carrying

Personally I'd perfer it to shout carry. People are less likely to screw with you if they know your armed...remember BG's are usually cowards and don't want to be challenged. Makes me wish I lived in an open carry state.

Ya know what 500Mag, and P95Carry?
Thats a great point!
If you want to "camoflauge" your carry vest, I know bikers that take them and have motorcylce logos sewn onto them, others that put professional sports team or band logo's on, etc.
On fanny packs, some put patches with camera company logos on them, or sports teams.
Basically, gives folks something to think about other than "concealed weapon"
