Anyone try the Beltman horsehide belt?

Just wondering if it is worth the extra money?

My IWB holster is horsehide, and I like it a lot, just never saw horsehide in a belt before.

Haven't tried their horse. I like their other belts though.

Yes I have one of his Horsehide belts. They have a shiny finish making it a great dress belt. Mine is 1.25" and looks great with a suit or jeans. Unfortunately I lost weight and it no longer fits me but he makes a very nice horsehide belt. I am not sure if I would spend the extra on horse if it would be a jeans/dockers type belt.

I have a horsehide in the natural finish, it is much lighter than the picture on the website but is a great belt. I also have a cowhide belt from them. I don't see the horsehide as being any higher quality or doing anything that the cowhide won't do.

IIRC you can send the belt back with $5-10 to cover shipping and they will readjust your belt to the desired size. The website is currently down for whatever reason, but I would imagine it will be back up soon.

I have a couple cowhide holsters that have gotten "softer" over the years, and do not retain as well as they used to. Same with a cowhide belt I have. About 7 years old and very thick (thickest leather belt I have ever seen), but getting flimsy.

Couldn't imagine my horsehide holster getting softer, at least not for a longggg time, so I was thinking mabye the belt will stay stiff for a long time also.

Have the 1.25 inch in horsehide and going on year two with it. Looks good with dress clothes that I wear for work and still fits with jeans. It is very stiff, not need to worry about wear on mine so far. It holds a pistol as well as any 1.5 inch belt I have (Rafter Gunleather and Galco COP belts). I don't think you can go wrong with beltman...

My horsie seems not to have taken to the dye very well, but other than that itsa nice rig.

Can't go wrong with either, except the bull is cheaper.

I've got a beltman bull... great products.

I'll be purchasing another belt from him, without doubt.
