    HELP!! K&D Dakota Defender Alteration...

Alright, so I got my Dakota Defender about a week ago.. I really like it alot, the only problem is that i wear Outter Waist Band much more then inner waist band.

I cut a hole in the suede liner on the back of the holster, after doing this i attached the belt clips to the back of the holster. It seems to work great now as an OWB and an IWB holster.

Next I cut two belt slits over the two screw holes so as to wear OWB on belt.

Does anyone see a problem in doing this? Will bendig the leather in this way affect it in any way? Will the suede on the back begin to come off after placing a hole in it??

Kevin what do you think? I emailed you asking you about this a while back but got impatient i guess so went ahead with it, haha.

Well any opinions would be great!

I know it may not be as pretty as it once was, but it is very versatile now!

Well i had Kevin make me up one similar you can see it at http://www.defensivecarry.com/vbulle...ad.php?t=38079

Personally i dont think i would hang a holster owb from the clips . I just dont have that much faith in the plastic for one thing , and for another it dont seem like it would be too secure from extra movement without the belt/pants tension .

I know the suede backing will begin to peel off no matter what. I've had to re-glue mine, but it's fine now. I wouldn't give up my Defender for nuttn..
Don't think I'd trust the clips by themselves either. I ust couldn't make myself cut into that purty leather either..
