Need a good appendix carry holster for the 2 o'clock position
I am in needed of a good appendix carry holster for the 2 o'clock positon. I am considering the Comp Tac 2 o'clock holster. Has anyone had any experience with this holster? I've also considered a kydex tuckable by FIST (http://fist-inc.com/holsters/k1/K4.htm). What other options do I have? Thanks!

Kevin, I use a BladeTech "Universal" for my Glocks. I understand Paul Gomez liked the FIST, but I'm not sure which model. Check in over at www.warriortalk.com and www.totalprotectioninteractive.com , this has been discussed in detail at both.

Yeah, AIWB is one of Gabe Suarez' talk points and is very heavily discussed over at warriortalk.. They also sell two or three kydex holsters for AIWB carry. I think two of them are Glock-only.

I carry appendix more than any other way.
Mainly a J Frame in a Hideaway. Most recently, XD9SC in Mr Softy and ocassionally NAA32 in a Mr Softy as well. All are from High Noon.
I figured out they needed to be angled a bit.

I've got the Comp-Tac 2 o'clock - I'm wearing it right now with my 442. I think it would be more comfortable if I had more padding in my stomach. It hides easy, easy to draw from, good retention....I think it was a good buy. I don't have any other AIWBs to compare it to FWIW.

Another vote for High Noons "Mr. Softy". I carry a USPc 9mm at 1-2 O'clock and love this holster. I did replace the metal clip with an extra kydex clip I had lying around though.
They also offer the "Bare Asset" which is similar to the "Mr.Softy". The difference is the "B.A." has a slight cant and the clip is a little lower. Both features allow for easier access to the pistols grip.
"Mr. Softy" provides better concealment for me....I can actually tuck the mag floorplate under my waistband if I want and disappear the gun.

distortion9, can you post pictures of your setup? I'd like to see it with the kydex clip and with you wearing it concealed & unconcealed.
Thank you, I've been considering appendix carry for my PM9.

I carry appendix most of the time and use a Comp-tac Pro-Undercover. It puts the gun at the wrong angle, but I live with it.
The 2'o clock is designed for appendix carry and should be a great choice.

Another vote for High Noon Mr Softy for my Glock 26. I tried kydex & just can't do it. My skin prefers leather.

I have the CompTac 2 o'clock. It seems to work pretty well once you get used to the stiffness of the kydex.

Use the 2 o'clock with Kahr MK9
I used the Comp-Tac 2 o'clock last week for 5 days on a car trip with my Kahr MK9 subcompact 9mm. It worked very well, and the holster was comfortable and well hidden under a sweater vest or sweatshirt as cover garments. The appendix carry position offers a very fast draw as you can use your left hand to lift the cover garment while your right hand draws the gun, which you can't do in a 4 o'clock position.
It is also an easy draw while seated and the gun is not wedged between you and the chair.

Does the 2 0'clock have a sweat guard on the inside? I'm considering one for my EMP. How is the comfort level of the kydex?
