What is your favorite TUCKABLE holster?

Thanks for the input on your favorite IWB holster. Based on comments and delivery times, I ordered the Max Con V. But from what I can tell, it is not tuckable. Not an issue in the winter time, but may be in the summer or at work.

I would like to know what is your favorite holster that can be worn with a dress shirt and/or tuckable. (Does not include Smartcarry.)

    Thanks.

Comp-Tac MTAC tucks very well. Haven't tried a dress shirt yet, but it looks very good with my polos and rugbys.

I tried the tuckable clips for my Sparks VMII, but just couldn't get the hang of them. It always looked bulky.

MaxCon is not tuckable however in the summer an untucked shirt makes the weapon disappear.

M Tac is very close in design to the Answer. I don't wear mine tucked, but it is possible.

Right now it's the K&D Dakota Defender for me but that is the only tuckable I own. But I have 2 HBE DC Tuckables on order and a Com-Tac MTAC that is in the mail and on it's way so I will have others to use and compare soon.

Tucker Gunleather. I have 3, one for a 1911, one for a Kahr Arms P9 and one for a 92FS. They are all great. I'm wearing the 1911 right now. Check out The Answer or the Cover Up.

Galco Sky-Ops, designed for the Sky Marshals, uses a "Y" clip to attach to the belt, it is extremely hard to spot, only people who know the Sky-Ops have ever spotted mine, one was a US Deputy Marshal friend of a friend who carried one.

Biggest draw back is no sweat shield so a T-shirt is almost mandatory, and I get an occasional safety pinch with my 1911 style pistol. I find it to be comfortable and concealable with a tucked shirt, just blouse a little at the sides and your gun is gone.

If you anticipate going long periods where you will wear the holster empty, stay away from all-kydex tuckables. The sweatshield can really dig into your waist above the belt. I prefer a combination of leather (for comfort against the body) and kydex (for good retention and ease of reholstering). I like the products of Tucker Gunleather.

War is not the ugliest of things. Worse is the decayed state of moral feeling which thinks nothing is worth a war. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which he cares for more than his personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free. -J.S. Mill
