Very nice. I might add. I like to leave the side of the holster that will rest aginst the body smooth/flat for more comfort. Also I tape a rod on the top of the slide to create a front sight channel.
Looks like you did well making your holster. My first few did not turn out nearly as good looking. Nice job!

How did you affix the two sides of the kydex together? Looks like some kind of rivet or grommet. Is that all that is holding it together?

Bluelineman - The pull the dot strap just uses a 3/16" hole to attach and, yes, they have them at knifekits.com.
Rocky - I thought about leaving the inside flat or non molded. That is a good idea as well as the sight channel. Thanks for the complements.
tseabourn - It is a rivet, also sold by knifekits.com. That is all that is needed to hold it together. You could also us a chicago screw to adjust the tension if you so desired.

I like that, one question, is it possible to add a retention strap to it? Also what grade/thickness did you use?
never mind, I found it, I had to click on the right link, forgot now which one, but I found it.

Hmm, very nice, but doesn't the back of the snap in that location cause finish wear ?

Oz,
I does not because it is not molded to the gun at that section. It touches no part of the frame on the draw or re-holstering. Once the gun is holstered and attached to your belt the back of the snap does contact the grip panel (due to pressure) but that is exactly where I wanted it to contact to be away from any metal parts of the gun. My next kydex creation will probably encompass a one peice clip from the same sheet of kydex to address not only this concern but the cost of pull the dot straps. Why use them when you do no have to.

Wow. That is a very professional looking holster you made there. Good job.
Every time I read one of these threads it makes me want to try it myself. I may have to get my courage up one of these days and give it a try.

I'm also wanting to do this for my CZ75BD. What thickness of Kydex did you use? I'm thinking .08?

Thanks for the comments guys....
TN Mike...If you find yourself in Murfreesboro just let me know and come by and check out the process first hand.
Entropy...It was the thinnest that had available at the time. I think .O6. I have used the .08 as well and there is not much difference unless you are integrating belt loops into the kydex. Then I would assume that thicker is better.

.08 is much better for making loops or any holster support. Also the Carbon fiber design kydex is really soft , compared to blk or other kydex.

Thanks. Living in Illinois, I can't carry concealed; so an OWB it'll have to be. Probably will make one of each. I'm thinking of glueing (Barge® Cement) a leather back to the IWB for comfort.
