How do i wear the finsh off my Stainless gun:chairshot
Leather for comfort, Kydex for speed...see the answer, http://www.crossbreedholsters.com. Stay safe, shoot from cover.

I started Kydex, Fobus etc - and got on quite well - only OWB which is all I do pretty much.
Beyond that started on leather and stayed with it. Some will have seen my handsome ''Eagle'' rig for the SIG, crafted by Kevin of K&D Holsters - super comfort, just ideal.
For sho rig too - leather only tho - there some ''creak'' is slightly evident. At my age tho I tell folks it's my joints
On balance yea, leather is numero uno but - for cheap rigs one or two ''plastic'' deals are still worth having, until that is #1 holster box reaches capacity and you start #2. (Eh Bob LOL).

I need to recant about my post in this thread about Fobus holsters. I'll stand by everything I said except the Fobus paddle part. Since I posted, I have discovered that the Fobus "breaking" issue is far more troublesome than I thought. I have now heard of guys just falling down and ripping the holster off the paddle. I consider that to be very bad. I've boxed up all my Fobus paddles for now.
I'm currently carrying my H&K USP in a Fist #2 easy on -easy off. I order Kydex, but the holster looks just like it's leather counterpart stitches and all. I order them with a 10 degree cant instead of the standard FBI cant (15 degrees). The 10 degree cant works well for me and significantly reduces the wrist bend that the FBI cant requires.
Let me reiterate this: Fobus paddles seem to be prone to separating from the holsters. It seems to have happened numerous times in gun retention drills but the deal breaker for me was the guy falling down with a 1911 in a Fobus paddle and when he got up the holster and gun were still on the ground. The paddle was in his pants.
Hey tangle that must be ''being up **** creek, WITH a paddle'' (but no gun)! LOL![]()
