Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8
Good thing about Hume holsters is they are not too expensive to replace.
But it does suck....
A real man loves his wife, and places his family as the most important thing in life. Nothing has brought me more peace and content in life than simply being a good husband and father.
C clips are that way ... doesn't matter if they are metal or kydex. What you gain with c-clips is the ability to quickly take the holster (w gun) on and off one-handed. What you lose is some life expectancy, I think.
For some reason I don't feel as bad if this happens to kydex and I toss a kydex holster - but I doubt that I could part with leather without a significant grieving processes. My condolences on the loss of your 'Hume.
I remember a guy telling when his clip stabbed through the vinyl of a restaurant seat and "sticking" him to the seat.
Bummer. Our carry rigs (to include holsters and gun) can get a little banged up in the course of our daily life.
I hope that you find something else that works out for you!
Can you remove the clips and add snap loops, some times the snaps wear out but they can be replaced and I find they are very secure.
You may also be able to replace the clip. A pic will help determine if you can.
