Guess this actually makes sense for people who are concerned about the gun wear from Kydex, but want the solid, no scratch exterior of Kydex. I'm still happy with either Kydex inside and out or leather inside and out, but I like to be up on anything that comes out so thanks for the heads up.

Wonder how much having the leather lining increases the thickness of the kydex? Looks nice, but i would be a little concerned that this may be too thick for cc.

F.I.S.T. Holsters has a leather/kydex "Hybrid" that's been on the market for a few years now. FIST, Inc.

    From The Mind Of Tucker...

I just ran across this. It's called the Silent Thunder and looks like it's intended to quiet the noise of kydex holsters, as well as hold the terrible finish wear inherent in them at bay.

It looks cool and being from Tucker, it's gotta be great quality. I'm itching to try one.

Anyone had a chance to play with one yet?

I would buy a IWB with clip for a j-frame in a heart beat.

I just saw, and handled, within the last 30 minutes their Answer version - with the leather lining. Interesting concept....

I have lots of Fist holsters, and most are with a clip...very strong, and dependable...being an IWB, it does not move...OMO

Good point and I worried about that too. I called Rob and he said that the leather lining was ultra thin and equivalent to the lining in my HF1. It adds almost nothing to the kydex thickness. Good news!

Right now it's just 1911s and Glocks. The wheelies are on the docket for the next run!

I looked at a friend's Wilson Combat Tactical Assault at the range today. It's a very nice lined Kydex holster, although (for me) not the best design for concealment.
