    Question for Mark (Crossbreed)

I wanted to ask this publicly instead of in a PM or e-mail, since others might benefit by knowing the answer.

By the way, I'm wearing my SuperTuck as I type this and it's awesome!

Anyway.... I have a Colt Defender (3-inch) barrel, and I have a Milt Sparks VersaMax II for it. Any pistol I buy in the future will be getting a SuperTuck. I'm considering a Colt XSE Commander 4 1/4-inch barrel) sometime (hopefully) within the next year. So the question is... will the same SuperTuck accomodate both a Defender and a Commander? The grip and barrel are longer on the Commander, but I'm not so sure about the main body that the SuperTuck covers. Either way, the Commander will get a SuperTuck, but it would be nice if one holster can work for both.

    Thanks!

I am not Mark, so I won't tell you, yes it will work for the Commander (although I'm pretty sure the website does). I does work well for mine.

So are you saying that the same holster will work for both the Defender and the Commander? That's what I'm really asking. I know he makes one for both, but are they the same?

    Sorry for the confusion.

Springer thats the reason I bought my 2 crossbreeds. It will fit all barrel lenghts of the 1911. THe only difference is the longer barrels will hang down lower, but still just as comfy.

I am not Mark either, but I own a 1911 Supertuck for him, but if you look at the holsters they are open bottom and don't cover most of the barrel, mostly just the body of the gun, so any length 1911 will fit in one, just some have more exposed than others

I have a Defender, but not a Commander. I also have a SuperTuck for an XD Compact. I know that only the body of the gun is all that matters. But since I don't have a Commander, I can't compare the body size to the Defender. That's what I'm asking. If I order one for a Commander, will the Defender also fit properly or will the Commander-sized SuperTuck swallow it whole?

All barrel slide lengths of the same gun family will fit the same SuperTuck,
such as all 1911s or all Glocks or all XDs.

The only time this is not true is if it is railed vs non railed version.

    A railed 1911 will not fit in a SuperTuck built for a non-railed 1911

    thanks

Thanks. Once I can pick up a Commander later this year, I'll send the order.
