    Sparks TK60 Questions

Anybody have any experience with this holster? I'm looking for something for a 3.5" 1911, and I've heard some good things about it.

    How thin is it?

I know it's been through some revisions recently, but I was told you can order it "old style" from Sparks. Can anybody tell me what the differences were? (TK--feel free to chime in. )

    Thanks in advance,
    Herk

I had a 60TK in horsehide for my Colt Commander. The workmanship and quality was top-notch, but I wore it so seldom, I finally just sold it.

At the time, I was primarily carrying my Colt in a Summer Special IWB. I found that the 60TK carried the pistol almost 2 inches higher than the SS, which is good for concealment, but it also meant that I had to use two different draw strokes, complicated by arthritis in my right shoulder.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the 60TK, it just didn't work for me. YMMV, of course.

Very high rise rig, I also have shoulder problems so it didn't work for me either. I do have two of the 55BNs and don't have any issue with them as they sit lower.

I'm not familiar with that model; but, after useing most of the others and reading nothing but great things about Sparkes and never seeing one, I took the plundge. I ordered 4 of his VM2H holsters and 2 of his 55BNH models along with two 6P light carries and 2 dual magazine carriers. They are without question, the absolute best that I've ever seen. It's hard to go wrong with one of his holsters.
