Which Kramer best at concealment of Glock 23?

    Hi all,

Which holster do you think would conceal a Glock 23 best with jeans and a normal size t-shirt?

Kramer Horsehide Belt Scabbard or Kramer Horsehide Vertical Scabbard?

    Thanks in advance!

I'm used to wearing holsters with slots on both sides of the leather, so I'm wondering if maybe the holster with only one slot on the side (and the other one on the back of the holster) would perhaps not evenly distribute the weight?

    Thanks!

    Dan

I like his Belt Scabbards with the forward cant for my 1911's. A vertical draw is unnatural for me, but many folks like it. His work is excellent, the thinnest yet toughest leather I've ever seen.

I find the pancake style Belt Scabbard to conceal a bit better than the "Askins" style vertical scabbard, though it's probably splitting hairs. As for the cant, I much prefer a forward "FBI" cant for concealment, but that's a subjective thing.

The vertical scabbard type of holsters do a great job of carrying a full size gun comfortably, and the usual advantage to this type of holster is that the reinforced mouth makes reholstering trouble-free. However, it's a moot point in the case of the Kramer's because his horsehide holsters are so firmly made that neither of his scabbards will collapse on you.

I carry a G19 all day in a belt scabbard.

    Belt Scabbard

I would vote for the Kramer belt scabbard in horsehide instead of the vertical scabbard. I have several belt scabbards and one vertical scabbard by Kramer, and a gun like the Glock 23 needs a canted holster to conceal best, because it will hide the grip more effectively. The vertical scabbard works best with guns having a short grip and carry in the 2 o'clock position (appendix carry).
