Show and Tell: Pics of the UBG Canute w/ shark

I got this baby last November, and am just barely getting around to taking some pictures of it. Just thought I'd share.

I also just got the Mil-Tac G10 grips for the BHP at the SHOT show. They are aggressive and very thin. The only thing left to do to it now is send it to Tripp Research for a Hard Chrome finish.

The holster is comfy. I really like that it tucks the butt of the pistol in so well. I can conceal under a t-shirt that used to be considered "too tight for concealment."

I love it. I am kind of a shark fanatic, so I had him make it with shark trim, and not pictured, a shark belt. Nate is a heck of a guy, and even let me come over to his house and see part of the process. I can't recommend his holsters highly enough!

Wes!!!!! Where the heck ya bin dude? Good to see you.

That is a very nice rig indeed ........... looks like it is nicely broken in. Great work.

BTW - I am gonna space out your pics a bit so they display (even) better.

Very nice! I'm thinking an IWB order to Nate will be coming soon enough, to supplement the OWB I recently received. He does do nice work, for sure.
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.

Hiya, Chris! I've been running around like a chicken without a head lately! Work is busy -- it turns out that people still buy those dirty, nasty gun things.

I'm finishing up my NRA Instructor ratings and getting certified to teach Utah concealed carry, something I've wanted to do for a long time.

Thanks for the picture help. You always were good with that stuff!

I like that sharkskin but with an IWB holster, it wouldn't be visible.

I really like Nate's rigs, can't wait to order a couple for myself now that Lima has her leather.

Very nice, I like both the Browning and the holster what a nice set.

Got my Canute, love it, buying as much UBG as I can before he turns into a Rockstar. The man has a gift, and he is all ours for now.

About the top half of the shark trim is visible... that is, when it's not concealed.

    Personal satisfaction at it's best.
That's really what it's about. Like I said, I have some kind of shark-skin fetish. It's my favorite exotic leather.

I'll have to get some pics of me wearing it -- the concealability with this holster must be seen to be understood.

I got a canute last fall. I'm in need of a good bun belt... the $10 belt just ain't cuttin' it.

I don't have access to any gun belts, so I can't experiment with different widths.

What width belt do you use? I see that Nate stops at 1.5 inches, and doesn't know whether or not a 1.75 in belt will fit in the loops. Is 1.5 in going to be enough to keep my XD9 Service snug up to my body?

    Thanks.

I use a 1.5-inch belt. Once you go wider than that, it's hard to find pants with belt loops big enough to fit your belt.

If you get a good, double-layer gun belt in 1.5-inch width, you will have plenty to keep a full-size tucked against your body. You'd be shocked and amazed at what a huge difference a little thing like a good belt will make!
