Creaking Belt
I've been loving my belt from the Beltman but I have one small complaint about it, it creaks right around the buckle area, where it is bound by the wraparound leather panel and chicago screws. When I pick it up and bend it in that area, it make a good amount of noise.
Any ideas how to fix this?

If it's still brand new, it may work itself out. If it doesn't, there are several things to help. Talcum powder, silicon spray, and various others that I would not recommend on leather.

How about just not doing that! Isn't it ill advised to bend and flex leather?

Perhaps the maker of your belt could suggest a proper item that would help, but I've always used Sno-Seal. Just a little bit worked into the notches, then I treat it like I do boots...four minutes in a warm (120 degrees) oven and that stuff melts in. No squeaky.
It will darken the belt, however.

Baby or talcum powder lightly rubbed on the areas where the belt contacts the holster works great, so does candle wax rubbed lightly on the same areas. It will stop by itself once broken in.

I also use Sno-Seal. Only I use my wife's hair dryer to warm the leather. That's what my holster maker told me to use. No more squeaks.

I would call the Beltman and ask what he recommends. If it doesn't work or ruins the belt, you'll probably be covered. If my belt creaks, I just pretend I'm wearing a diaper.
