K&D. Kevin is a great guy to deal with and makes an excellent holster. Check out the Dakota Defender. I use one for a 5" 1911.

I use the Sparks Executive Companion for my G33 and 5" 1911 needs.
Haven't found a more comfortable holster.
I use an MTAC from CTAC for my P229 and it works very well. If they have the mold for your firearm they are very quick and professional.
They didn't have the mold for my GSR 1911. Neither did Milt Sparks.
BikerRN, post this in your work area as an inspiration. I can be a smart ass as I just received my Matt Del Fatti. Regards, Richard
Very nice Richard.
Mine will arrive when it arrives. In the meantime I will use the ARG Express.
I think the VM-II is not only worth the wait but the best of the bunch! I carry my 1911 in one daily.
ALWAYS carry! - NEVER tell!

I personally dislike the leather fittings for the belt on the VM and other similar products. Often I will tuck my 5" 1911; yes it can be done. Having a set of big honking leather straps completely undermines the concealability benefit of tucking.
My K&D Dakota Defender though has an assortment of Kydex clips available depending on the belt and mode of carry. I can go with a fully encapsulating belt clip or a simple black C clip that disappears with a belt of suitable thickness and color.
Speaking of belts, do not spend good money on a holster and settle for a garbage Sears belt. They may hold your pants but not your gun!
I use a Don Hume 1 1/4" black leather belt with a simple silver clasp. It works on everything from jeans to kahkis to a suit and has shown no wear in the almost one year I have used it (EXTENSIVELY!). The holes don't stretch and the leather hasn't deformed. The gun is held firmly all the time.
Buying a quality holster and using a cheap belt is like putting cheap retreads on a Ferrari. You will actually destroy all the benefit of a good rig by cheaping out on the belt.
