I've done the plastic bag trick on a new holster and it seems to help those especially tight holsters but the best trick I have ever used is the ol' "wear it and use it" trick! It takes time but it yields the best results.

When I get a new holster, it's worn with the pistol around the house and yard everyday until it's ready. I do NO stretching, it'll work itself in. When it's ready, and not before, I'll take it out on the street.

Add the step of a little Kiwi neutral polish to the exterior and buff it off and I say thread closed!

    I agree...
As stated on another thread, just using it (drawing and reholstering) makes a big difference...go slow!

Thanks for all the posts, was my thread to begin with. I did use the waxed paper theory, with little noticeable results.

However, I feel that the best result came from wearing the holster and holstering and re-holstering the gun repeatedly.

Now have a comfortable and functional piece of leather.
