I just had a student purchase her first gun yesterday, the problem is she's so tiny and doesn't carry a purse much.
Which she chose not to purse carry and I commend her for that (chance of unauthorized person gaining access). Todays styles of clothes and her being so petite along with carrying a caliber with some stopping power causes the dilema.
Can anybody give any suggestions or any other Instructors that have had this issue lend me some ideas?
I'm fresh out!
She bought a SKYY CPX-1 9MM.
It's a keltec clone but is very accurate for what it is (I was surprised)

She may have to rethink the purse option just to have a place for her pistol. There are a lot of good purses designed just for this.
Depending on her manner of dress a sholder holster may serve her well.
To some degree, she may need to alter her method of dress to accommodate concealed carry or, as JT said, go with a fanny pack type holster. If she's willing to dress accordingly, have her look up some of Limatune's threads on this board. I know she had one where she had pictures of herself concealing her Wilson Combat and Lima's one of the tiniest gals I've seen.

I just bought a "Thunderwear"; similar to the "Smart Carry". Check out their web sites. I think this may be her best alternative.

Older Galco catalogs used to have an inside thigh holster for use with a dress or skirt.
Man...that was THE hottest pic in a holster catalog EVER!!
