    New Don Hume holster

I just got a New don Hume paddle for my glock 23..
It is really tight and hard to get the snap closed and I have to push down real hard to get gun deeper in holster.
What can I do to loosen it up and make it so I can draw and reholster and snap it easier.
any and all help would be appreciated

One way is to wrap the gun in wax paper and let it sit for a few hours and check for retention after that. It may take overnight though to get the right fit.

I miss my Hume J.I.T. slide. Went with my G30 to a good owner though.

Try Mitch Rosens Leather Lightning. Great stuff.

I had the same problem and got the answer from this forum. I wrapped my gun in a plastic bag that another holster had come in and forced it in to holster. Left it for a couple of days, and wow, problem solved.
This after sending it back to holster maker (DeSantice) with no solution.

Most holster manufacturers make their leather holsters snug because they know they are going to stretch. Most recommend the baggie or waxed paper trick.

Something i have done in the past is taking 2 or 3 plastic grocery bags.

Also, a thin sock. As weird as it sounds, I tried the 2 bags, then 3 , and then just put on a sock. It did the trick overnight.

    Adjustment

The wife's poly sock maybe perfect. Never admit you used it.

I wet new holsters with rubbing alcohol at the points that appear to need some relief, it softens the leather and dries quickly without harming my weapon.

some great tips in this thread, thank all of you..
I have it in a holster bag at this present time and will see how it works overnite..the alchahol theroy sounds like it might soften the leather also and I wonder if I soften the leather and put a sock in it if it would work..might try that on another holster I have also..
thanks again and welcome any more tip or ideas aas I am sure other posters have the same problems.
