Obviously I haven't had much time with it since it arrived yesterday, but I did notice some things I thought would be of interest.
I've tried a lot of leather holsters and most have to be broken in and even stretched to get it to release the gun satisfactorily. The CQC/S is fits the gun perfectly and although it's got a bit of the normal leather drag, it releases the gun fairly freely and doesn't pull your pants up to your arm pits like new leather can.
It is a beauty, the leather is well detailed and finished. One thing I noticed was that the black coloring did not come off on my light color khaki pants like some holsters do. The leather itself is relatively thick and unusally "hard"; it's almost like Kydex it's so stiff and I like that. Yet, it is very light. The belt loop snaps are generously wide which resists "leather stretch" and attaches the holster to the belt very securely. The way the holster is designed, it pulls both the grip and muzzle into the body tightly which enhances concealment.
I wore the holster when I walked my dog yesterday and to me that's kinda my ultimate test. If a holster is not going to be comfortable, I've found it shows up on a long walk. This one is comfortable! Also, because I walk up and down a hill four times, I've found that a lot of holsters tend to slip forward on the belt on the down hills. This one doesn't move.
I am so far, very pleased with the holster. It is indeed, very easy to get on and off - even seated in the car.
I'll try to get some pics posted - if I can find some time.
The reason the normal 16 week delivery time was cut to 2 weeks, was because Alessi had made a run of these very holsters for the Columbia, Missouri Police Department and he had a few extras.
