Hello, Your problem may come from a couple of things. The leather lining ( if you have that on you're holster ) may have been chrome tanned, which does and will retain moisture, or the acrylic resolene finish was not properly applied or has worn off allowing the leather to retain moisture. All of these factors will cause you're firearm to rust if left in that environment long enough. If your holster has a soft suede lining it more than likely was chrome tanned...IMHO I'd buy another holster without the suede lining, if the holster leather is vegatable tanned and the resolene finish has worn off then I'd simply purchase a bottle of acrylic finish at your local leather supply store and and refinish the inside of the holster. I hope this helps you.

Scroll down to the Marine Tuff Cloth.

I have been using this cloth for 8 to 10 years. I use it on my guns, knives, fishing reels, etc...any metal part. I usually don't believe marketing hype, but nothing I have ever used this cloth on has rusted...ever.

I wipe my pistol down about once a week, just takes a few minutes to dry. $6.50 for a product that works.

BTW the Tuff-Glide is pretty nice also.

My brother is allergic to certain metals, he used to get rashes from belt buckles. That's why gold and titanium are used on piercing implements.

My solution was to start carrying stainless pistols.

That's a great tip for something that only costs $6.50! Thanks.
