Recommendations for a belt holster maker

    Hello all,
I need an OWB belt holster for a Glock 26 and another for a Kel-Tec pf9 There seems to be some problems with custom holster makers and extreme turn around times, 6 months and longer. You can have a new home built in six months! Any help is appreciated.

Personally, I'd go with UBG or BoomStick Holsters.

My wife and I currently have two UBG OWB rigs, and I have two IWBs on order from him.

BoomStick seems to be putting out some nice gear, and I'll be giving him a try on my next order later this year.

    JS,

The turnaround time on Kydex holsters is usually much shorter. If it's high quality leather you like, you are typically looking at a matter of months to years from makers such as Milt Sparks, Lou Alessi or Matt Del Fatti.

Fortunately, a company called Lighting Arms Sports, run by Craig and Audrey Chadwick, stocks holsters from all three of those makers in both right and left hand configurations. They do add a nominal premium to the retail price of the holster. In my opinion, being able to have the holster you really want in a matter of only days is more than worth the slight additional cost.

Disclosure: I have no financial or other interest in this company. I have, though had a number of great buying experiences from them over the years, from Sparks and Alessi holsters, to a Sparks belt, and even Craig Spegel grips for my J-frame.

You can occasionally locate good deals in used holsters from Internet forums, but unless a holster is new, you're taking something of a chance with it.

Kramer has a short wait, and makes the most durable horsehide holsters around.

I like my kramer belt scabbards with FBI cant. Both were under a month and I ordered several years apart. My tuckergunleather HF-1 is prettier but you would almost have to ask Santa now.

Take a look at Rafter S:

Holster for people you know Quality
I carry a PT145 in one of their holsters, use one of their belts and am very pleased with both.
Not sure of their turnaround time now, but when I bought mine a year ago it was about 6 weeks.

I'd look at the Kramer Belt Scabbard!

I'll plug Bluegrass Holsters.... Quick turn around (at least when I bought mine a month or so ago), and very pleased with the quality.

I'm sure Brock is probably hiding out here somewhere.....

All of those mentioned are great makers. Let me add that Coal Creek Armory might have a Brommeland holster that would also fit your needs.

I'll go ahead and put one in too... DM Bullard has a belt holster with a relatively high degree of cant, IN STOCK. Many folks like that style a lot. That particular style wasn't a good fit for me personally, but I absolutely love my belt from him. Great guy too.

I'm real fond of Black Hills Leather I bought an IWB/OWB holster and two belts. Great quality and workmanship, reasonable turnaround. I think about a month.

Order a custom leather belt. On the same day order a Liger Gun Belt, and you'll get it shipped immediately.

You'll probably like the Liger so much that you'll cancel the custom order as unneccesary! I've got two and love them.

Just to let you know, I posted my experience with Rafters S holsters on "Where's my holster" thread. They said 5 to 6 weeks lead, it's been 17 weeks so far. Just some info since lead time is a concern.

Thanks for the help, I went with the Kramer horsehide forward tilt for the Glock and am still looking for the kel tec pf9 I think Side Guard holsters said they had one in stock, although I know nothing about them.
