I agree totally with the folks that recommended a proper GUN belt. No holster can even remotely live up to it's full potential unless it is properly supported. The belt is the foundation upon which your holster mounts. Without a solid foundation, you just don't have much to work with.

I have not tried this myself, but would a tight fitting belt keeper (scaled down of course to your belt size) like those used on police duty belts help. One in front and one behind the loops should keep it in place I would think. It will provide more bearing surface on the belt effectively making your holster loops twice as wide.

Put a belt loop between holster loops.

I've never had an issue with holster migration, especially on a VM-II, but did find that the SS style holsters tend to adjust a little while worn throughout the day. I made a kydex insert for my Kramer #3 recently and it locks down solid now. You can see the mod at: http://www.oregonshooter.com/index.php?id=66
