My Milt Sparks VM2 finally arrived. Way back when, members of this board convinced me to order horsehide. The dye job is perfect as is the fit on my 1911.
The mag pouch is also IWB and the craftsmanship is world class.
I've been wearing it for three days now and it is the most comfortable holster I have ever owned. The old .45 now has a permanent home and I have a few holsters to sell.
I got the exact same holster a couple of weeks ago for my H&K USPc .40. Now I understand what all the talk is about! I got it used but looks like new ,cheaper, and no wait. Horse, black with shark. Once you carry in a VM II you see what comfortable means. Great looking holster,I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine.
WELCOME TO THE VMII CULT!
I have a couple of those as well for my HK USPs and they even make that thick framed gun comfy. I would love to have HORSEHIDE though...
Don't know whether you are aware of it or not, but ALL VMII's use horsehide for the rear piece of the holster (including the slide/sweat shield). The cowhide is just the front piece. Cowhide tends to "bone" more precisely, while horsehide is less permeable to moisture. If you order a horsehide VMII then both the front and back are horsehide.

Anyone compared the TT gunleather holster to the VMII?
Yup, have both. The TT is a nice holster but not as nice as the VM-II. I don't like the straps on the TT, they are not fixed. Overall quality isn't as nice as the VM-II but... the wait isn't as long to get a good VM-II copy.
"A superior Operator is best defined as someone who uses his superior
judgement to keep himself out of situations that would require a display of his
superior skills."
How much larger are your pants and belt to accommodate the VMII and the magazine holster both inside the waistband? Seems like a lot going on in there...

Congratulations 1911packer!
If you lay them side by side can you tell the difference? Can you explain a bit more about the straps difference?

That is the only problem. From no holster to IWB holster, the pants are one size larger and my gun belt went from the third hole to the first. I need to either get a longer belt or drop a few pounds to cram in the mag pouch.
I can't tell much difference in waist size between the VM2 and the other IWB holsters.
I just wanted to add that Tom at Milt Sparks promises delivery on their Web site of 20-26 weeks (Last time I looked.) I got mine a few days over 19 weeks.
Great service, great product, great craftsmanship, and my credit card didn't get charged until they were ready to ship.
