    BH Serpa for Ultra Carry

I got a deal from a friend for his serpa holster and cut it down a little since I have a 3" barrel. Fits nice, but when I wear them, the gun tilts forward about 1/2". No play vertical, the clip is attached to the trigger guard and works just fine, but it just seems a little loose. Tried to tighten the adjustment screw, but doesn't help. I don't mind how it wears, but I'm concerned if it is still safe. This is my 1st "plastic" holster, and I want to know if a little play is OK? Like the added retention without the hassle of strap.

I carry 24-7 a G19 in a Serpa. There are adjustments for the cant, 3 screws you have to loosen. There should be very little play when you holster your gun. Good Luck.

Very little play is ok, but 1/2" play is bad thing and sounds very unsafe.

Maybe I should explain better. The holster doesn't move, the gun does. If you holster the gun, then take your index finger and poke the bottom of the magazine, it rotates maybe 1/2" maybe less. The retention device is still holding the gun and works, but I'm thinking that maybe a 3" 1911 in a 5" 1911 holster is causing this to happen. I really like this holster. It doesn't smash into my sides like a pancake type. Had a Galco Concealable, but was so tight into me I had a hard time drawing it. Loosen the belt enough to work, then I'm always pulling up me pants.
