Just waiting on the holster now
My approval letter came in the mail today, a wait of only 16 days, which I think is great turn-around time. I tried to time my holster arrival with my CCW permit, but the permit showed up about a week sooner than I thought it would. AAARGH! Now the painful wait for my UBG Canute holster to show up. The wait coupled with JD's pics of his holsters from UBG only makes it worse.

Stay calm 'grasshopper'...you will soon be able to defend yourself and your family...

Exactly.
In order to expedite the arrival of your new holster:
A. ) Buy a different holster.
B. ) Get injured so that the holster is effectively useless for a long period of time.
C. ) Lose your gun.

Waiting builds character!
ALWAYS carry! - NEVER tell!

Waiting is always the hardest part. I have a big order in with Josh Bulman and it's only been 3 weeks but I am already antsy! The best way I deal with the wait is just trying to forget I even ordered anything. Then one day it will arrive on the doorsteps as a pleasent surprise! Good choice going with Nate. His makes nice leather and everything he does make seems to get better and better!

Better to get the permit first than the holster. Wouldn't want the holster to sit there mocking you while you can't carry. You can get a different holster until the nice one comes in if you want to carry.

Get a mass production holster of some sort to hold you over until the custom leather comes in. That way you'll have an emergency backup if something happens to your primary holster or a "knock around" holster to use when you go fishing, hiking, working on the car, etc. and you can keep your nice holster looking nice. Galco, Bianchi and such are good for things like that.

P.S. Congrats on getting your permit!

Ain't that true. I have an OWB holster, but now that it's warm out, it doesn't conceal as well as I'd like. I'll probably just wear my Cards jersey the next couple of days as a good cover garment.
Thanks for the encouragement.

I just did that....ordered a Mitch Rosen and then ordered a MTAC from Comptac. MTAC will be here next week. Play with that for a couple of months before the beauty arrives!
