    paddle style mag holders

    Hiya.

I'm looking for a paddle style (that can be put on and taken off without undoing your belt) magazine holder.

All I have found are cheap-looking Fobus (not that I'd mind using a fobus... just that this particular product looks like it's cheap) And nice leather ones that require you to take your belt off.

I've hit all the holster makers that I've done business with personally, but I simply don't have the time to pour through the entire list of holster makers that 's posted here on DC.

Does anybody remember seeing a nice looking paddle-style mag holder?

A surefire flashlight holder (either separate, or as a double/multi product) would be an extra bonus if I could find it.

I had a FOBUS paddle mag carrier and you are right it is cheap. Rarely used it.
Many makers have mag carriers that clip on, whcih are easy one and off the belt.
I have several from, K&D, Black Hills, High Noon and I'm happy with them. If you truly need it to be a paddle attachment, call Kevin at K&D, he could probably make one up for you.

    I have 2 from Gould & Goodrich.

Mine seem to ride nicely , lock on the belt tight and are easy enough to take off too.

Check out Comp-Tac's stuff, I have a double mag pouch of theirs that clips onto the belt and it works great.

    Go to: Comp-Tac

Here's an idea from them also:

I have nothing but Fobus paddle mag carriers for IDPA and I find them to be very good. They grip the belt like nobody's business and the friction hold on the mags is strong. I find the paddle itself to be a bit bulky, but not at all unmanagable.

I have them in both single stack and double stack and really like them.

Wild Bill's make a clip on mag carrier for just about any type of mag. I have found them to be very durable and fairly inexpensive (29.00 or so). I also use Fobus paddle for general woods carry an knocking around. They do look cheap but have not failed me after 5-6 years of use.

Uncle Mike's kydex single mag holders are really good IMO. I have three of them. They are clip style and very solid. I don't particularly like the paddle style. I use these exclusively for competition. I now have one XDGear double kydex mag holder for my Glocks. This one must have the belt go through, but it has a tension screw--basically it was designed for the 45 caliber XD but works very good for my hi-cap Glock mags in 9mm and 40 cal.
