There's always the man purse or a fanny pack, just be careful where you send him to get milk and eggs.

My Desantis IWB holster is comfortable when carrying my S&W Sigma, as long as you find the position that fits the body style best, 4 o'clock for me.

Huh? isn't preppy biker an oxymoron? Or no offense intended do you mean yuppie biker type? If so there are a few "biker" boutiques out there that cater to that "look". You may find something there, I dunno they don't let my type in those places.

I usually wear straight-hemmed shirts over a t-shirt. While I have no doubt some of the vests/shirts/jackets made for concealed carry work quite well, they sure are expensive. I frequent my local discount clothing outlet, Goodwill, etc. A lot of it is trial and error, but at 10 bucks a shirt I can afford some rejects.

Based on how you describe him, he may like the type of vests I wear as cover garments. They are the microfiber v-neck style, like golfers often wear. They go great with Dockers. And, I have one in khaki, navy and black to go with whatever slacks I wear.

They are designed with a "blousy" look just above the webbing at the bottom--this makes for ample fabric to cover an IWB carried pistol.

    Golf Vest

One that works when dressed preppy and dosent draw a 2nd look is the PGA style of vest sold at most golf shops. You can get them as zip up or pull over sleveless and they are comfortable, dont get to hot in the summer and cover pretty much anything you want to cover.

    Good luck.

Blazers with jeans is a nice look, too, and blazers are great covering clothing. Again, hit the Goodwill, etc.

Oh please don't get him a vest. I'm sorry, but vests just have to go. Jackets are fine if the weather is right.

As said above, I recommend button up work shirts. Dickies are my favorite. If he doesn't want to carry, you can't make him, but some button up shirts a little big in size are great.

Get him a few shirts and see if he likes them. He'll have to try them on obviously to see if they will work for him. I am a size large, but I have some XL shirts that aren't cut big enough for carry. It all depends on the brand and style. Good luck!

I'm picturing Alex P. Keaton right now, packing and in Wally World buying nachos. Simply disturbing.

Question for you guys with the denim vest from Sportsman's--how is the sizing? I have 2 Levi's jackets (don't call the lynch mob--they were gifts) that are XLs (which I normally wear) that are quite large. The work well for CCW as long as they stay unbuttoned.

Summer - T-shirt covered by a short sleeve, Eddie Bauer-type button up or similar - left unbuttoned.. They're usually some type of plaid pattern to break things up.

I ordered mine in my regular size (large). Buttoned up, it easily conceals my Commander in a Max-Con V IWB.
