My wife's turned out awesome! Nate even used some of the trim that was part of the purse to trim the holster.

Once you factor in the cost of the basically new purse that got cut up it actually cost more than the elephant/gator holster.

I think that once you own the purse, it is yours to do what you want with it. I wouldn't worry about copywrite stuff..that's only if you attempt to recreate something with their logos and whatnot in counterfeit or duplication. I'd be interested to see it if you will email it to me. jaymzo5@gmail.com

Good message to send to the wife. Beats flowers for originality. I applaud your effort. Lots of brownie points!

I am fairly certain you cross that line when you try to make money off of something. If it is for personal use you have a ton of latitude.

The problem is that there's a good chance that the purse company is run by a bunch of leftist gun-grabbers. It probably is legal, but I don't feel like dealing with it and I certainly don't want to put Nate through it.
Plus, she's very happy to be the only person in the world to have a ____ holster.

As I just posted, I don't want to put Nate in the position where he has to deal with the nonsense that a big company could put him through. It just wouldn't be right.
Nate (jarhead79) does have pictures of the holster, if he wants to share them (or even post them on his website) I have no problem with it. I just think it should be his call.
