Who makes another version of this?

I picked up this used Bianchi holster for an L frame on the cheap at a gunshow recently. It's actually an excellent holster.







I don't care for the thumb break, but the price was right and the holster carries extremely well. It rides high and is easy on, easy off.

I'm wondering who might make a similar design be it a custom holster maker or a factory holster. I'd want it in black leather, and it needn't look fancy. I actually want to see if they could make one for my 629 with the 5" barrel.

Oh and here's a gratuititous shot of the gun itself that I used in the pictures. I've put old school grips on it because it just looks right.

For N frame guns, I really like CABO holsters. They come in natural so a dye job would be necessary.

They ride very well, I have a 4" underlug barrel 44Mag in mine as I make this post. I also have a CABO for my L frame 696.

Read the literature on his site. The holster works!

No worries.......I appreciate the recommendation. I believe the holster shown is actually an Andrews Holsters style/copy.

The holster shown is a Bianchi "Pistol Pocket" and it's still available from Bianchi; though I doubt they make it for an N-frame and they never made it in black.

Thanks guys, I'll look into it at some point. I just liked that design save for the unnecessary thumb break and wanted a little better quality.

You know how if you're not sure you're going to like something you buy an inexpensive one first to make sure it's for you? Thats kind of what I did...

Well.......the 629 with no break is a better way IMO anyway. Im sure any of the makers on this or other boards can help..........

Logo is Bianchi.

I dumped al of my old catalogs a few years ago when I closed my shop, but IMO, the holster is Bianchi. Doubt Andrews was around 23 years ago, when I bought my first one.

Yep! It's a Bianchi Pistol Pocket.
