Sweat guards with an undershirt? (IWB question)
I'm about to order a Comp-Tac MTAC but I have a question before I hit the "go" button.
The MTAC (and many other IWB holsters) have the sweat shield attached to them. I always wear an undershirt and I plan to wear my IWB holster between my under shirt and my outer shirt. The outer shirt will usually be untucked but sometimes tucked in.
How does the sweat guard interact with an undershirt?
1. positively
2. negatively
3. no effect
Everyone says that the MTAC is very comfortable but I'm curious if it will still be comfortable with an undershirt? I could look at something like the CTAC or the infidel if they will work better with the undershirt.
any thoughts?

I've worn my MTAC both with and without an undershirt
both With and without tucking the outer shirt in.
There's very little effect at all other than the typical one shirt sometimes binds on the other. Which happens regardless to whether or not you're wearing a holster.
See HERE for some photos.

I've no experience with your choice of holsters (I do hear good things about them).
As to the sweat shield, also aptly called a "body shield". It will also keep the pistol from digging into your flesh, and will generally enhance the comfort of a holster, even worn over a shirt. I would recommend it.

I often wear my MTAC between my waistband and a tucked in t-shirt.
With an untucked button shirt over that.
The combo is very comfortable and the t-shirt keeps the pistol grip from rubbing on my skin.
Just make sure that the t-shirt isn't tucked in too tight or it may pull on your arm.

Even over a t-shirt, I prefer a body shield for comfort.

A body shield is an absolute must for me, especially in the summer and/or humid climates. Not only does it protect you but also your weapon and I also prefer mag pouches with a body shield.

I agree. I use body shields on all of my holsters including OWB. It also keeps the shirt out of your way when reholstering.

No negative effects from the shield with my IWB holsters. The added comfort is a must for me. Keeps the gun from digging into my side.

All my IWB holsters 2 dozen+...have the body protector/sweat guard...I always have a T-shirt between me and the leather guard.
If I'm wearing a T-shirt in warm weather, then I also add the summer 'T' (wife beater?)(always thought that sounded crude) under my regular T-shirt.
Seems to work well for me...I don't care about the gun touching me, I just don't want sweat or skin oil on my Kimber.

When I borrowed my friend's MTAC to try out, the only "problem" was that my tucked in t-shirt bunched up a little after a while. No big deal, re-tuck shirt every now & then, problem fixed.

Do you guys have a problem with your sweat shield sticking to you side in hot weather?
I don't like wearing an undershirt and a T-shirt both so I might go back to OWB for summer.

The sweat guard is sometimes called a 'fat shield'. One of it's benefits is that it keeps your fat, shirt, or whatever else from getting in the way when you reholster. I would never purchase an IWB without one.

I have no problems wearing a regular cotton t-shirt and a tucked polo shirt over my MTAC. It does hang up on a draw if I have it tucked too deep around the holster. I'm actually going to try some Under Armour Heat Gear shirts for the summer under my polos. They are cooler and smoother. Should work well.

I like Side Guards on all my holsters to protect the gun and my side. No issue with an undershirt because that is my preferred method.
