What I make my holsters out of....

I thought I would add, if I may.

My leather is Hermann Oak and dyes are from Angelus Dyes out of California.

I would like to thank you for bringing that to my attention, so to speak. I am still learning and would take any sort of advise, good or bad. After spending 10 years in the Army, my skin is thick and I take take the bad as well as the good.

I just purchased one of these rigs for my HK P7. Dave made a new IWB design in Shark for me and it looks great. Shipped yesterday so I should have it tomorrow. Dave is on top of things. is very easy to get ahold of and talk with, he encourages honest criticism and I wish all did. Maybe it's time to give the "little guy" a break. If the holster looks as good in person as it did in pics, he has won a new customer. Very refreshing to only have to wait less than a week for a custom holster!!

Received mine today and I am quite happy with it, it's an IWB V1 for an HK P7, light tan with black shark trim/loops. Fit/finish are excellent, retention is outstanding and overall worksmanship is excellent. I'd give it a 9 out of 10. Unfortunately, I can't post pics at this time but I will be dealing with Dave again.
BTW, the leather is Herman Oak.

My only criticism of the pictured holster would be that the molding where the slide and frame meet could be straighter. The stitching in the lower left area of the holster could also be straighter. For the price he's asking, I would expect near perfection.

Now this sample does appear extremely well made. Molding'd well done and stitching's nice and straight. 14 day turnover, hmmm...........

Nah, you aren't a pain in my butt... trust me, there have been worse. LOL.
I appreciate the kind comments. I see improvement but I also find more flaws than most. I am my worst critic...
I think you will enjoy your holster when it arrives.

    Cheers.

Dave was suggested to me by another member here. I have been looking for a custom for my Walther PPS, and having a hard time finding something that I liked and thought would work for me. Dave has been kind enough to trade countless emails with me, as well as to make some suggestions on things that might work. I am expecting delivery of a prototype holster from him this week- made both for the Walther and for me. I'll post some pics when I receive the holster- but I must say that so far Dave has been a pleasure to work with as well as a consummate professional.

I will order fairly soon...I'd rather throw money to a local small-business than to a nat'l big-money-business w/ a wait time approaching my demise.

    Thumbs up to a local!
