How often do you replace your gun belt?

It's been a couple years since I bought my first quality gun belt. I bought a Galco belt from a police supply store, and been wearing it everyday since then. It's starting to show signs of wear and tear, so figured I will need to buy another one. How many gun belts do you folks go through?

Been wondering the same thing. I purchased a Beltman bullhide belt about two months ago. I hope I dont have to replace it every two years.

From what I have read if you follow good practices such as cleaning it, never rolling it up (coiled up) and storing it properly when not in use, it should last YEARS.
I am consistently on record and will continue to be on record as opposing concealed carry.

Aside from progressive increases in abdominal girth :), there should be no need to replace a really good (meaning best materials, best construction) gunbelt at any particular interval.
I'm referring to leather and skilled leathersmiths, not cut-rate stuff.
I have belts from Lou Alessi, for instance, which I've worn daily for some 15 years, that need no "replacement", and continue to provide excellent support and continue to look near-new.

Are there any gunbelts with interchangeable buckles?

I have some fancy-shmancy buckles with "The State of Texas" seal on them that I like to wear. Any good leather gunbelts that'll let me use these buckles?

I have an Aker B21 that has a replaceable buckle. The belt isn't near as nice in finish as a Beltman, but it has held up to a year and a half of every day, hard use. Well made belt, just not a baby smooth finish.

The Looper Belts have replaceable buckles. They are great just got mine so i cant say how mine with hold up but i have heard people having them last a very long time. Would strongly recommend one for 30 bucks cant go wrong.

I've had a variety of different experiences in this regards. I own two nice gun belts in black and tan (for a total of four), one each color for OWB and one larger for IWB. The IWB holster I use most often is a high-noon holster with the metal c clip. It has thrashed the heck out of my belts and it looks like I'll need a new one every year and a half to two years. My OWB holster is a Blackhawk CQC Serpa or a Galco Fletch, both of those have been relatively gentle and I don't know if I'll ever need to replace that belt.

Luckily I don't know how long a Beltman belt will last... I have two of his and recently took this picture of my 2 year old belt:

    Thumbs up

+1 Fatboy97! My Beltman Sharkskin belt arrived today. What a well made belt! It almost destroyed my Scottish soul to pay that much for a belt BUT I think it's well worth it. Very comfortable and makes the Glock 23 ride much better. I don't think I'll have to replace this belt for many years.

Actually, a good quality gunbelt (ie: Milt Sparks, etc.) should be replaced every two years.

I'll happily buy any old ones (42", pref. black) for 50% of retail.

Let me know, just trying to help out my brethren!
