it looks great to me
This is a discussion on DIY Holster... I hate it when I draw up a pattern, cut leather, stitch it up, and don't realize until I'm ready to mold that... I made it too long!
Some quick work with the knife and dremel, and I made a slight... uh, modification...
I was going for something more like this one I did for the M&P 9...
But obviously something went horribly wrong!
This is actually the first pattern I tried and cut leather on for the Glock... I actually set the unstitched leather aside for a few weeks because I came up with another pattern that turned out good, but I was hoping this one would be a winner. Oh well. I'll probably still use it!
I'd wear it. PM me and I'll give it a good honest trial critque.

Looks very darn good.
Looks like it works.

That looks great - where do you get your leather from - Tandy or one of the big shops?
Your workmanship looks great!

Your "foul-up" looks better than many other holsters on the market.
Looks good to me btw do you sell any of the holsters you make, 'cos I would luv something like that for my Browning or XD service.
I agree with everyone else, they look great.
I wish my mistakes turned out like that.
There are two sides to every issue: one side is right and the other is wrong, but the middle is always evil.

you mean that's a mistake? i like it. you should call it the "Manta," or something; that's what it reminds me of.
Looks like you might have a good pattern for the Glock 17 instead. You should have sold that one and started again. Still looks good though. Nice work.

Hummm... looks like a pretty good "jury rig" to me!

Thanks all for the kind words! To answer a few questions...I use Tandy. Pretty hit-or-miss on finding a quality hide, but this is the last holster I got out of a good hide. The latest one I'm using leaves a bit to be desired. I'd love to find a source for some better quality and more consistent leather. That looks great - where do you get your leather from - Tandy or one of the big shops?I just make 'em for myself. I have no desire to make it a business.Looks good to me btw do you sell any of the holsters you make, 'cos I would luv something like that for my Browning or XD service.Hehehe. Thats kind of what I was thinking.you should call it the "Manta," or something; that's what it reminds me of.This would definitely be a good G17 pattern. That's why I'm not getting rid of the pattern. I might want a G17 sometime down the road before mags are banned again!Looks like you might have a good pattern for the Glock 17 instead.
