Well today I had the opportunity to go to two leathercraft stores here in Mandaue City Cebu. They make custom cowboy boots, holsters, purses etc... Well I was asked to leave the first store after I gave them my business card, my wife said that the owner is afraid of compitition from me. So I went to their other store at our local super mall. I asked to see several of the holsters and mag pouches that they make. I actually picked out the best of the bunch. Now remember this particular store is well known for their quality leathercraft, well let me tell you making holsters is not their thing. I was very surprised at the poor quality of their holsters. Now I only paid $11.25 per piece but here in the Philippines thats alot of money. So here are the pics, the holster is very bad and the mag holder is a little better. So the next time you think you paid a premium for your custom holster made by one of many of our holster makers in the U.S. just remember these pictures.
My .45 fit so loosely that if I turn the holster over with the ( not a oneway snap ) snapped the gun will fall out, not to mention the stitching is very bad, the finish is poor, no sight channel ( I can't even draw as the front site gets caught on the lip of the holster ). I could'nt help but laugh at my purchase. Now this company makes outstanding boots and shoes etc. in fact I'm going to get some alligater shoes made for me but no more holsters, I'll make my own thank you. Oh and to give you an up date I will be back in the U.S. the first week in Dec. 08, buying my ticket next week.
