Squeeky Supertuck...Need Advice
So I have been wearing my supertuck pretty religiously and I love it. However in the past week it has started making noise when I walk both empty and with a gun in it. Its that very obvious noise of leather rubbing on kydex.
My question as I am new to leather products like this is what can I do to be rid of the noise? Is there a product I can treat the leather with to make it quiet down?
Thanks in advance,
Matt

might try some silicone spray,if that's a bad idea for leather somebody admonish me for suggesting it.Plus it could be the holster is molding to you're body and shifting and adjusting to find that "sweet" spot once it does it may quit squeaking on it's own,#2 you don't happen to carry gerbils around and forgot one did ya

I never liked wearing mine tucked... and when I don't tuck it, it squeaks like 100 year old pine stairs. My solution was similar to the other suggestion... I unscrewed the clips, and rubbed silicone into the leather (just using a generic gun/rod silicone impregnated cloth). It's much, much better now.

Mine used to squeak loudly. Over time (several weeks of daily wear), the squeaks have mostly stopped. If it does squeak now, it's very quiet and brief.

+1 on the silicone trick. A lot of people poo-poo silicone, but curiously, most of them sell "leather conditioners." Go figger. Treat both the leather and the kydex. If it returns, send it back. Either that, or get used to saying, "my hip implant needs oiling." :-)

Baby powder works very good between the leather and Kydex to lube the area.

All good suggestions, another good item is saddle soap, rub a bit on the slick side where the clips contact and "presto" problem solved.
Thanks

Thanks for all the responses everyone. I did try using a silicone cloth to rub the leather down, but with little effect. Seems to me most of the noise is coming from rub between the actual kydex shell and the leather backing insead of the clips. Im gonna give a few of these other options a try I will report back on the results.

Baby powder will work, but many people will think you're Pig Pen (one of Charlie Brown's friends)...remember?...cloud of dust?...
...when you draw your weapon!
Stay armed...wear a cotton mask
...stay safe!
One can try the silicon spray...shouldn't hurt/discolor the leather, and it can easily saturate places that powder can't reach...test spray on an old pair of shoes for leather effect.
For MY holsters? I just wear them around the house until (like shoes) the squeak stops...it will.
OMO...as always!
