5.11 T.D.U. Belts
Does anybody have experience with these belts? They are awfully cheap, but that's what I am after because I am on a very limited budget. Anybody think that one of these would make a decent gun belt, or should I be looking elsewhere? 5.11 usually makes pretty decent stuff, but I haven;t heard much about these belts...Thanks!

My impression is that the 5.11 Tactical TDU belt is going to be thin and flimsy. I have a friend with very similar "BDU" belts and they are just that, flimsy. I wouldn't recommend it. On the other hand, the 5.11 Tactical "Trainer Belt" is one that I bought and works out well for me carrying. I can't imagine carrying a gun with some of the horrible belts I used to use ever again.
Take care,
nasm

I have a couple that were "Freebies" when buying their light weight pants. The belts do a great job in holding up your pants, but they are light and do not make a very good gun belt.

Great guys! Thanks for the experience. That's what I figured. I may check out the trainer belt!

The TDU belts are too thin, but the 5.11 Trainer belts are great I have one in Black and the other Brown.
