Looking for a new gun belt

I'm looking for a new gun belt. I don't want it to be flimsy.

It suppose to be sturdy and be able to hold the weight of a Sig Sauer P226, extra ammo clip and pepper spray. I want it to be able to divide the weight from the gun a bit, so it won't get heavy on that point.

The Beltman makes excellent belts for CC. I have one of his Sharkskin models I've been using for a while now and I think its one of the best buys I've made. I'm impressed enough with it that I just ordered a black bullhide one to wear to work.

I have to agree with Smokeeater and say Beltman is the guy to go to. About a 1 month wait for quality belt. I am sorry to say but anything off the rack from Galco/Desantis/Aker just doesn't compare. I think Rafter S makes the best belt right now but their customer service and inaccurate wait times make ordering from them a pain.

Another vote for Beltman. I have been using one for two years and it has been great. Looks great and is very stiff, it holds up my Govt. 1911 with no problems. I will be ordering another in a different color here shortly. Another bonus is that I have not had any isues with it fitting the loops on several different brands of holsters like I see with some other belts.

Another vote for the Belt Man. I recently got a 1 1/2" horsehide. It is nice! Very stiff.

It's been several months since I received 4 Looper leather belts, and they are great belts. Only $30 each (the price is right), and very stiff...excellent for my IWB holsters...I like 'em.

    Stay armed...use a good belt...stay safe!

If you are not looking for leather, The Wilderness Instructors belt is hard to beat. I wear mine everyday and love it. It is extremely sturdy.

His shark belts come with a stiffener. I think that's because the belt is cowhide backing and shark top layer. While shark is super tough it's not as stiff as 2 layers of cowhide (or horsehide). I have 2 in shark, both have the stiffener (1.25" for business attire, and 1.5" for other times). I absolutely love these belts, as well as my cowhide. Next purchase will be elephant.
