Here are the final shots, finished. Burnished the edges and applied acrylic sealer inside and out...

Pocket side: slight curve to follow pant leg and not print...

Leg side: Heavy molding to retain firearm...

Shot of the burnished edges... this came out better than I expected... took some work on some scraps to figure it out but here is the finished product.

Thanks for all the comments and tips... I definately will be trying a few more of these... styles, firearms, etc... too much fun....

Obsession... well maybe it will be cheaper than the guns are...

    Well Done

Awesome job, I'm always an advocate for do-it-yourself jobs provided you know what you're doing, which you clearly do. Making the whole thing yourself kind of eliminates the need to tinker with any purchased holsters/be at ease with shortcomings, because you dictate everything.

Again good job, I hope it works just as good as it looks.

The grips are altamont diamond grips... Altamont - Pistol Grips - Altamont - Pistol Grips

Pretty nice and fit great. They also have two pins to keep the halves aligned with each other... The sight is hit and miss on what is available... I bought mine from a third party... D&J gun repairs at http://www.shop.dandjgunrepair.com/main.sc

    Prvt Toter.

It seems like you are really getting into leatherwork. That's great. Keep it up!

Please check out this Internet Page on hand stitching leather.

It is so much more beautiful, just as easy and very superior to the stitching awl.

This is a really good basic web tutorial for hand stitching Knife Sheaths but, all that you need to change is to stitch a holster rather than a knife sheath. Everything is the same. CLICK HERE.

Thanks QK... I tried the speedy stitch awl on one and double stitched the other... definately like the needles better.. that awl is a pain to manage... I can see why the pros buy machines... Thanks for the link as well... great tips and a few things "I wish I knew before"...
    Thanks again...

Ok, here is the third one... tried dying leather this time, and took some major tips from Jarhead79 and stitched per the link from QKSHOOTER....

I think each one is getting a little bit better...

Thanks again for all the comments, I think you can see I took your input seriously... Next a pancake style... Hmmmmm..
