But it was mostly the Kydex rigidity directly on the skin that was hurting me.
I received the M-TAC yesterday, tried it a few hours today, so far so good !!!
After a little more time, I will report my experience.
I am also getting jeans one size larger ...
Ah, understood. From what I gather, any back injury or discomfort can be exaggerated by IWB carry, tucked or not, so I get what you're saying.

I think the MTAC, Crossbreed, and similar holsters might benefit from leather conditioner more than the stiffer leather holsters would, since the Kydex/molded portion is what's keeping the gun in place and the leather is really just being a barrier between the gun and your skin that helps trap the gun in place. Ask the manufacturer, but leather softener might actually be useful there, if you need the holster to be softer/more pliable.

Here's hoping your new rig works out for you. Get a good belt too.

This thread got me into wearing 'wife beaters'. They certainly do the trick and feel like you don't have an undershirt on at all.

I wear standard thin undershirts, not wife-beaters, with an over shirt. I'm also quite the sweat-er and I haven't had any issues with heat, especially in Houston.
