Noisy Holster
Okay, I have read the other posts on this subject and I have tried the recommendations but nothing has helped. My Bianchi Carry Loc has all of a sudden become a squeak box!! I was in a quite office type setting yesterday and I couldn't believe how loud this thing was. Good thing everyone is in condition white, if I heard a guy squeaking like this I would ask what he was carrying, lol!!! I have tried candle wax in the slots, mink oil, leather conditioner, some vegie oil, the vegie oil quited it down for 1/2 a day but it came right back. Carrying it on a leather belt, double thickness with Kydex stiffner. Any other ideas?
Thanks

I wouldn't be putting anything on a leather holster if it were me.
Oh well, since you have probably ruined the Holster you can put some Baby Powder on the Belt Slots, that's probably where it's rubbing. You'll have to repeat it, maybe daily, but it should help.

Be careful using WD-40, I had a friend use it on a shotgun once, and it took off the bluing.

I'd try baby powder around the seams, I'd never put oil on a holster, UNLESS the maker recommended it.

Plain old baby powder (talc) on the touch points will help. Oil or WD or the like would penetrate the leather, and could harm it.

I was kidding about the WD-40.

Seriously, though, have you tried the baby powder yet? That's probably all you needed. Never use anything with the word "oil" in the title on a holster unless you want to severely shorten its service life.

The mink oil is made for leather, I use it on a lot of smooth leather shoes and such and have never had a problem. The vegie oil was put on with a q tip and just on the edges of the belt slots. I can't see how this would ruin the holster. I will try the baby powder, if it doesn't work at least it will smell good, lol!!!
Thanks y'all I will let you know how it works.

Oils are fine for shoes and belts, because you want them to remain soft and supple. For a holster to keep it's retention, you need it to be firm and hard. Adding oils to it will break down the holster's rigidity prematurely, if not immediately, depending on what and how much you use.

I understand, but just placing some with a Q tip on the edges of the slots isn't going to hurt anything is it? All my wife had was some Victoria Secret powder, it says it has talc in it, I applied it to the belt slot edges but the noise is still there. Are y'all telling me to put baby powder all over the holster or just on the edges of the belt slots? I will stop and get some of the reg baby powder on my way home tonight.
Thanks for the help.

Try putting some wax on your belt where your holster rides.
