NCHornet thanks for the info.
I do not mind the extra wait time. This is my second K & D holster great quality and workmanship. Ordered a belt as well when I ordered the Thunderbird.
I am suppose to have mine in a day or two. I will post some pics then. Yes the extra leather around the mouth will add to the thickness, but it is a must to keep the opening rigid so it doesn't collapse after drawing weapon. This isn't as much of an issue on a OWB holster but it is a must on a IWB. Stay Tuned.
When Seconds Count, The Cops Are Just Minutes Away!!
Nice OWB there! Good taste in a guns, too!

Dying, He saved me..
You got your holster yet NCHornet? Got pics?

My Thunderbird arrived here are pics
I'm all for thin, especially with a thick piece like XD.
I'm real happy with my older Bullard holsters (he has added a similar piece near mouth of his newer ones), but sometimes do need two hands to get reholstered depending on pants, but no biggie to me.
I've never been in a "must reholster quick" situation.
One more week for mine to ship. Got an e-mail reply from Kevin very quickly after sending one to check status on Tue.
Nice Pics and really nice holster Cobra4246. Makes my wait even harder. Just 3 more months... Give us a little feedback after you've given it a try.
I really liked the looks of the Dakota Defender and the Thunderbird Defender as well, really wish they made one for my S&W 5906.
NCHornet did you receive your holster?
