Question I need some advice on a thinner holster.

    Hi all,

I want to be able to carry my Glock 23 in the summer months without feeling so dang self-concious that something is making my butt look bigger.

I currently use a Don Hume H715 IWB holster. It's thick! The leather is 1/4 inch thick. So it puts an extra 1/2 inch on the handgun's thickness, which is thick enough!

So what I'm looking for is an IWB holster that is: 1. a clip on, 2. a LOT thinner, and 3. preferrably something that has extra material on it to protect the gun from touching my skin; so I don't sweat all over the darn thing. Kinda like an Alessi Talon, but without the 2 year wait.

    Anybody have any ideas?

High Noon holsters have 2 of 3. No sweat shield on their thin ones, but very thin with a clip. Cheap and fast, too.

OK, I offer this info all the time...

Go to the above 'Related Links'...
    Go to holsters...
    Find Fist holsters...

There are numerous clips on kydex holsters.

Myself, I still like leather...I have several of the #1A IWB with cant and clip...I always add the body protector which, as you want, keeps the firearm away from the skin.
    Let me add...easy on/easy off.

    Good luck in your search.

    Stay armed...use Fist...stay safe!

Could not agree more on the Fist #1A IWB with cant and clip and the body protector. This is a terrific holster.

Even though not a clip-on, I would consider a MTAC. The split belt clip design would surely help w/ concealment. Holster is also very thin. That holster can be had in about 1 week.

Give CrossBreed holster's a look. Real slim in shorts and T-shirt. They also have a two week trial.

I have a couple of UBG UBG Holsters Canute's and like them very much. They're very thin yet firm and, though the Canute's have leather loops, Nate also offers models with clips and all have sweat shields. Best of all, his prices are very reasonable and his delivery times not too long.

    Red face MTAC is it!

I took a look at all the holsters mentioned, and the MTAC looked the best.

I just bought it a few minutes ago. It's just what the doctor ordered. Thanks to everyone who gave advice.

As to the one week for a waiting period, Comp-Tac now says that since business is booming, 2-3 weeks until I see my new holster. Guess I'll just sit and wait now.

Good deal, let us know how you like it after you carried for awhile. Very few get it right on the first holster, but maybe you will get lucky.

Check out my Minimal Clip or Snap because it is exactly what your looking for. It uses a single piece of leather with a clip and side guard. My lead time is 4-5 weeks for custom and I may have a couple already made that will work for the G23 so 1 week

    holster

From your requirements, you have just described MTAC from Comptac.
Thin, comfortable, clips on your belt IWB,secure and you'll have it in a week or less.
