    P99C Holster Suggestions (IWB & Open Hip)

    Speciality clothing, shoulder, bellyband, fanny / gun pack, ankle, purse, etc. are all good carry methods, but my wife is looking for advise on just two types of holsters atm.

    * IWB

    * Belt: right side hip / open (ish) -- fall (field / hiking carry) with a jacket on. Will consider cross over draw (left side).

    PROBLEM:
    She has not found a good fit for her Walther P99C. Similiar subcompacts (like Glock) appear to be easier to find holsters (of this type) for. Something about the P99C's slide & trigger guard make holsters fit wrong.

    Anyone else run into this?

    Any thoughts?

    Note:

    Wife uses other carry methods (well, set against purse carry). She just would like to get the two options above added to her list of options.

    I'm a Glock 33 owner. I use Elite's Survival System's Belt Clip Holster, IWB for concealed carry & Uncle Mike's Side kick for open carry and some concealed carry options. Both work great for me.

    I discovered the Galco Concealable, OMB, that I carry my P2000SK in also fit the little walther perfectly. Great holster, very comfortable and secure.

    Why not a custom fit holster for the P99c?

    Then you can get what you want. I have a P99c form.

    I use fullsize p99 holsters - works fine. Most fullsize holsters have the very end of the muzzle sticking out anyway. I have a fullsize and compact P99. Holsters are interchangable.

    Check out the IWB/OWB belt scabbard at Black Hills Leather. I like mine.

    Check out the IWB/OWB belt scabbard at Black Hills Leather. I like mine, its made for a full-size P99 but it should be interchangeable, and I bet they make it for the compact. Turnaround, quality, and cost is reasonable.

    I have a Walther P99c and have found that Glock 26 holsters fit perfectly. I have Bulman and Nossar pancakes that were originally for the G26 and they fit like gloves. I also use an Alessi CQC/s and a Tucker IWB but these were made for the P99c. Lots of G26 leather around so give it a try.
